2. What happened in Portland?

Federal and police buildings appeared to be targeted in Portland as well. Upon arrival to work Sunday morning, police officers were welcomed with taunts and demonstrators damaging patrol cars and fences. 

According to the Portland Police Department, demonstrators left a police precinct to block roads with dumpsters, which they set ablaze on Saturday. The convoy moved to the Portland Police Association building, where they broke in and started a fire.

Just as order was restored at the police association building, a riot ensued at a federal courthouse in Portland. The courthouse was vandalized and had its fences torn down. Additionally, hundreds of protesters taunted officers to come outside, according to The Daily Caller.

According to Portland Police, the police building that was set on fire is located close to a residential area. Police advised demonstrators that they were subject to arrest if they committed a crime. The department has not released any information or confirmation of police or civilian injuries.
