Bill Cosby Death Hoax Number 5? 'It Isn't Funny,' Said Actor

For the fifth time on Monday, Bill Cosby has been made the victim of a death hoax, and he isn't laughing about it.

Bill Cosby, 73, is well beloved by many of his fans. The person responsible for starting the death hoax, in fact, can confirm so for at least the 315,000 fans who he said were angered by his prank.

The Twitter trend was started on Monday, forcing Bill Cosby to post a tweet on his account. While the actor did not reference the hoax, the activity seemed enough to confirm that he was still alive and well.

"I've never met anyone who didn't like this one!" the actor tweeted, along with a picture of him in character as Cliff Huxtable.

But despite his good-natured response following this particular situation, the actor had previously admitted that he is not very pleased with the number of death hoaxes that have been started using his name.

"I don't want [the person who spread the rumor] to do this anymore, because this is my fourth time being reported [dead]," Cosby told CNN in a previous interview. "Maybe a psychiatrist will say I'm feeding [the originator's] ego, but I just want to say to friends of that person: Just tell him to stop, because it isn't funny."

In 2010, Cosby had confirmed that he was the victim of a death hoax at least four times.

The user responsible for starting the death hoax later came forward with the truth after traffic began to slow down.

"My name is Jonathan Gorman and I am the page admin/creator. With the recent slowdown of likes and high amount of attention from news sources. . . I have come to the conclusion that I should tell you all the truth. Bill Cosby is not deceased," he wrote late Tuesday. "I made around 315 THOUSAND people angry."
