Mariah Carey, Dog Enact Christmas 'Tradition' in Aspen

Mariah Carey and one of her pet dogs stayed in line with a particular Christmas tradition while in Aspen over the weekend.

The singer took to social media revealing a very unusual and chilly annual ritual on Dec. 22.

"It's just a tradition," Carey wrote in the caption of a photo of herself clad in only a red bikini while walking her dog before a dark, snowy Colorado backdrop.

Furthermore, the "#Beautiful" singer shared other photos from her trip to Aspen that included her children, two-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, and husband Nick Cannon.

"Misty wonderland with dembabies," Carey shared in one photo taken of her family in a hot tub.

Shortly thereafter, the multi-award-winning singer shared a photo taken with her husband in front of a log cabin with the caption, "Uncharacteristically leaving the house early before darkness with Nick & dembabies, going ice skating (not me).

Meanwhile, Carey and Cannon have been married five years now are announced that this Christmas would be centered on their two children.

"We always do really fun tricky things for each other for Christmas," Carey explained to Access Hollywood. "This year, I'm just like, 'Let's make it about the babies.'"

The famed "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer explained that as her children get older, Christmas is an even more special time for her family.

"This is the first time they're really getting that Christmas is an event that they are going to receive gifts," Carey said, according to Access Hollywood.

However, the singer noted that her children will not be spoiled this Christmas.

"I want to do presents for the kids, but I don't want to do an enormity of presents with the kids," she said. "It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I don't think that they're going to get it [and] understand what it means this year. They need to appreciate one or two or three gifts."
