The Rev. Lawan Andimi, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria’s chapter in the Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was killed by Boko Haram militants in January.
After he went missing in early January, the pastor appeared in a ransom video where he expressed his trust in God.
A source told Save the Persecuted Christians that he was murdered in Sambisa forest “because he refused to renounce his faith.”
The killing came amid a rise in attacks and kidnappings by both Boko Haram and ISWAP.
