The Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, took to his Facebook page to offer condolences, urging people to pray for the Palau family.

Graham noted that Palau was a friend of both himself and his late father, the famous preacher the Rev. Billy Graham, posting a black-and-white photo of Palau and the elder Graham.

“Luis was a passionate evangelist who faithfully preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ — His birth, His sacrificial death on the cross, His burial, and His resurrection,” said Graham.

“Millions have heard this truth, and untold men and women have trusted Christ, as a result of Luis Palau’s ministry. I thank God for his life and the example he set.”
