Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are known to be very private about their relationship. The two started dating in 2014, and last month, it was reported that they got engaged, though the pair has yet to publicly confirm the news. But now, it appears as though the "Twilight" actor and his singer fiancée are ready to go public as they made their official appearance as a couple at the 2015 Met Gala in New York City.

FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, walked with Pattinson on the red carpet and posed for pictures together. Barnett turned heads in a multicolored lace Christopher Kane dress and accessorized with black strappy heels and what looked like her engagement ring from the actor, while Pattinson looked dashing in a black tux.

The pair has been virtually inseparable in recent days and they were photographed walking hand in hand after hanging out at the Bowery Hotel on Monday evening in NYC. While it was speculated that they were in the area to attend the Met Gala at the MOMA, their outfits ahead of the event were far from fancy as the actor donned jeans and a sweater, while Barnett wore a pinstriped suit over a matching halter top.

Despite nasty comments on social media from fans of Pattinson and his ex, Kristen Stewart, the actor and Barnett appears to be going strong as they appeared to be at ease and affectionate towards one another at the Met Gala red carpet.

In November, Barnett spoke to USA Today about their relationship, saying that as much as she hated the "vacuous attention," she was more than willing to put up with it to be with the actor.

"The positivity that I get from [my relationship] makes the more challenging aspects … very worth it," she told the newspaper.

The couple reportedly intends to marry sometime this year in a low-key ceremony in the U.K.
